Its getting to that point in the year where every female seems to be panic dieting ready for summer. Frantically trying to shed all of the excess weight from Easter/Christmas/last summer, you get the point!
It seems that dieting is the new trend. Everybody is obsessed with weight loss and achieving that ‘dream body’. But what exactly is the dream body? It seems that weight and body shape/size has almost turned into a fashion, the internet is riddled with images of the idea of a perfect body but how is it that we achieve this?
I had the shock of my life last month when trying out the ‘Bootea 14 Day Teatox’. After 14 days of using the product I noticed no difference. It seems that I was oblivious to the fact that in order for this product to work I had to be eating somewhat healthily. This was when I came to the realisation that I was just being lazy, I needed motivation and determination in order to get my ideal summer body.
Healthy eating is in fact a lifestyle and not just a short term fix, so how can we have any trust in these companies that say we can miraculously loose weight within 2 weeks? I guess you don’t know until you try, but it goes without saying that we are in control of our own bodies. Being healthy is a lifestyle choice. Yet maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle whilst upholding a busy routine can be difficult and only possible when you want it. And sadly nobody can change your lifestyle other than you.
Its all well and good having pills that miraculously make you lose weight, seems pretty straight forward. The only issue is, we rely on these products to make us the perfect weight without ensuring that we continue working hard alongside this. Just because you are using these weight loss products doesn’t mean you can have an unhealthy lifestyle around them, the idea of the products is to help alongside your healthy lifestyle.
Don’t be misled by companies selling you weight loss products, indeed they may help with your dietary needs but only if you are mentally determined yourself. Achieving the ‘perfect’ body is a massive challenge, but don’t be disheartened as it can be done if you put mind to it.
