If for you the thought of fringing conjures up bad images of fancy dress cowboys or dodgy Dolly Parton wannabes then you probably won’t be pleased to hear that fringing is back. But back it is; from clutch bags to boots, so if you want to add some fun, add some fringe!
From flapper girls to dapper cowboys, fringing has popped up throughout the fashion decades and if the Great Gatsby taught us anything it’s that tassels don’t have to be trashy. Whilst the trim has had its moments in the shadows it has never been too far from our hearts. And now, if the catwalks are anything to go by, fringing is back for summer 2015.

Luckily, if full on fringing seems like a bit of a step too far there is plenty of options to get on trend without getting tangled. Boots, knee-high gladiators and sandals have all been given the fringe benefits and this is an ideal way to ease yourself into the trend. If you are feeling a bit braver try a fringed handbag, from the traditional (and festival favourite) bucket bag, to the extreme fringed clutch there are plenty of option to choose from. Whether you are looking for practical luggage or wanting to add a wow statement to a Little Black Dress, the high street has covered all the bases.
We should have probably expected this; with the return of the seventies trend and a new love for all things suede, it was only a matter of time before fringing cropped up again. Suede and Fringing have long been good friends and the catwalks combined the two in cowgirl chic mini dresses and skirts. The tasselled skirt is ideal for those whose pins are not quite summer ready as the distraction of the fringing can hide a multitude of sins.

With the high street churning out cool copycat versions of the catwalk looks there is no excuse for not enjoying the benefits of the season’s new favourite trim.
